Wydad receive major squad boost ahead of Kwakab clash

Patrice Carteron faces a mixed situation ahead of Wydad Athletic Club’s upcoming league encounter against Kawkab Marrakech.

The two sides are set to meet on Saturday at the Grand Stadium of Marrakech in the 16th round of the Botola Pro.

Wydad are expected to make several adjustments to their lineup due to the absence of key players. Defender Amin Abou El Fath, along with Hamza El Hanouri and Walid El Sabbar, will all miss the match through injury.

Injury Concerns Continue

The Red team will also be without second-choice goalkeeper Abdelali El Mohammadi, who remains sidelined after picking up an injury during the clash against Olympique Safi in the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup.

These absences present a challenge for Carteron as he prepares his squad for a demanding away fixture.

Reinforcements on the Horizon

Despite the injury setbacks, there is optimism within Wydad’s camp. The club is expected to strengthen its squad soon with the anticipated arrival of Hakim Ziyech and Ayoub Bouchta.

Their inclusion could provide a significant boost to the team’s attacking options as the season progresses.

A Tough Test Awaits

Wydad head into the fixture knowing they will face a difficult challenge against Kawkab Marrakech on their home turf.

With changes expected and key players missing, Carteron will rely on squad depth and tactical adjustments to secure a positive result in this important league encounter.
