Injured Emanuel Emegha to miss Strasbourg’s clash against PSG after October international break
Dutch forward of Nigerian descent, Emanuel Emegha, will not be fit immediately after the October international break as earlier anticipated.
Emegha sustained a hamstring injury in late September during the game against Olympique de Marseille and is yet to recover fully. According to L’Équipe, the striker will miss Strasbourg’s Friday night encounter with Paris Saint-Germain.
The development is a setback for the club, which may have to cope without its captain for at least another two weeks. There are growing concerns that Emegha might not feature again this month and could remain sidelined until after the next international break.
Head coach Liam Rosenior also faces other injury worries, with Chelsea loanee Mamadou Sarr ruled out due to a thigh problem sustained at the end of September.
However, Sébastien Nanasi offers a boost for the squad, returning to action after a month out with a shoulder injury.
