Injured Désiré Doué eyes strong comeback before 2025 ends
France forward of Ivorian descent Désiré Doué is hoping for a strong comeback before the end of 2025.
Le Parisien reports that the 19-year-old, sidelined since October 29 after injuring his right thigh in a match against Lorient, is progressing well and could resume training as early as next week.
The former Rennes talent, now with Paris Saint-Germain, is hopeful of featuring in competitive fixtures before the year ends.
If his recovery stays on course, Doué could be available for key matches, including the Intercontinental Cup on December 17 and the Coupe de France round of 32. However, his return to official competition will depend on PSG’s medical and technical staff.
Luis Enrique has enforced a new protocol requiring players to complete several full training sessions post-injury before being cleared for match action.
Doué will need to meet those conditions before being considered for selection, but optimism is growing around his potential late-year comeback.
