Canadian star of Liberian descent, Alphonso Davies, is not expected to return to action until December.
This is according to Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany.
Davies, 24, has been out of action since March this year when he suffered a cruciate ligament tear while away on international duty with the Canadian national team.
In recent weeks, Davies has gradually stepped up his recovery and begun light work on the pitch, sparking speculation of an earlier comeback. However, Kompany has urged patience.
“Davies will probably return in December. I’d rather not say too much,” Kompany told reporters, as quoted by sport.de.
He added, “We have to give them space. It’s different for everyone. I don’t want to put any pressure on those who are injured.”
The setback has kept Davies out for much of 2025, but his progress suggests he could be ready to rejoin the squad before the end of the year.
A return from injury will give Bayern Munich a major squad boost as the team aims to not just secure the Bundesliga title this season but also challenge for the UEFA Champions League trophy.
