Ghana forward Inaki Williams delivered an impressive performance for Athletic Club on Thursday night, playing a key role in their 3-1 victory over Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League.
Williams set up his younger brother, Nico Williams, in the 25th minute to open the scoring for the Spanish side. The duo’s connection proved vital as Athletic Club secured a dominant win to close out the league phase of the revamped Europa League competition.
After a tight first half, Yeray Álvarez and Javier Marton found the net in the second period to seal the victory. Viktoria Plzen’s only goal came in the 71st minute through Lukas Cerv.
Inaki Williams, who started the match, played 70 minutes before being substituted for Alvaro Djalo. He earned a solid rating of 7.6, further cementing his influence on the night.
