Ghanaian forward Inaki Williams played a key role in Athletic Bilbao’s commanding 3-0 victory over Girona in La Liga on Saturday, delivering a crucial assist to help his side secure three points at San Mamés Barria.
The Black Stars attacker featured for the full 90 minutes, contributing significantly to Bilbao’s dominant display.
The home side took the lead in the 42nd minute when Spanish international Oihan Sancet converted from the penalty spot.
Just three minutes later, Sancet doubled his tally, giving Bilbao a comfortable 2-0 advantage heading into halftime.
Williams capped off an impressive performance by setting up Sancet’s third goal in the 79th minute, completing the midfielder’s hat-trick and sealing a resounding win for Athletic Bilbao.
The 30-year-old forward has been in fine form this season, tallying four goals and six assists in 21 La Liga appearances.
Across all competitions, the former Spain international has registered eight goals and seven assists in 32 matches.
