Riding high on confidence after a thrilling comeback win against Abia Warriors, Remo Stars wasted no time asserting their authority. Alex Oyowah opened the scoring in the ninth minute before Ibrahim Abubakar doubled the lead in the 28th, leaving Sunshine Stars struggling to keep pace.
Despite falling behind early, the hosts fought back in the second half, with Matthew Samuel pulling one back in the 67th minute. Sunshine Stars pressed for an equalizer, but Remo Stars held firm, showcasing defensive resilience to protect their lead and see out the win.
The victory marked several milestones for the league leaders, including their fourth away triumph of the season, a fifth straight win, and an unbeaten streak that now extends to seven matches.
