Dr Congo international Fiston Mayele has opened up about his future at Pyramids ahead of the start of the 2025/26 football campaign.
Mayele has attracted significant interest following a standout season with Pyramids FC, who emerged as champions of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The 29-year-old has been on the radar of a hosts of clubs including, Kaizer Chiefs and Saudi side Al-Fateh as they seek to secure his services for the 2025/26 football campaign.
However, the forward, who has just a year left on his existing contract has decided to continue his trade with the Egyptian outfit.
Mayele, who was very pleased with the sides last season’s performance, is looking forward to an amazing 2025/26 season with Pyramids.
“Right now, I’m still a Pyramids player, and I have one year left on my contract. Next season, the biggest challenge will be to win every trophy with my teammates. And why not finish as top scorer again? I’ll do everything I can to achieve that,” Mayele stated.
Mayele emerged as the top scorer in the CAF Champions League last season, racking up 9 goals for Pyramids, the eventual winners of the title.
Now, Pyramids FC risk losing Mayele for free next summer if both parties are unable to arrive at a new deal.
