‘I’m still disappointed’ – French-Congolese striker Randal Kolo Muani reacts after double against PSG
Tottenham striker Randal Kolo Muani says his two goals against Paris Saint-Germain offered little satisfaction, stressing that the final score made the night disappointing.
The on-loan forward struck twice in Spurs’ 5-3 loss to the Champions League holders but admitted the result overshadowed his personal success.
The French-Congolese striker, who joined Tottenham from PSG for the season, delivered one of his most clinical showings in a Spurs shirt.
Yet his Parisian roots added emotional weight to his return, making the defeat more difficult to digest.
Muani opened the scoring and later added a second, earning praise from manager Thomas Frank for his sharp movement and composure.
Despite the individual recognition, the forward insisted the team’s collapse defined the evening.
He stressed that personal milestones meant little in a team sport, a theme he repeated when assessing the overall effort.
“We’re a little disappointed as we started the game in such a positive manner.
“We managed to open the scoring, but we were unable to keep the lead in the end. The coach told us to keep working.
“It’s always nice to come back here, but football isn’t an individual sport so I’m a little disappointed given the result.
“We’ve done well so far, but we’re going to have to keep working as hard as possible in order to accumulate the maximum points we can going forward.”
