Moroccan winger Hakim Ziyech has confirmed his intention to part ways with Galatasaray during the January transfer window, signalling a premature end to his loan spell from Chelsea.
The 31-year-old announced in a candid statement, citing dissatisfaction with his experience at the Turkish club.
“Galatasaray is over for me. I don’t want to play here anymore. I’m leaving in January,” Ziyech declared, openly criticizing the management style of head coach Okan Buruk.
The former Ajax star did not hold back in expressing his frustrations, highlighting his struggles with limited playing opportunities and the overall environment at the club.
“I have never seen a coach of such a low level. I don’t really care. I want to be left alone. I regret coming here,” he stated.
Ziyech’s departure will mark a bitter end to his time in Istanbul, where he has struggled to make an impact. With his contract at Chelsea running until June 2025, the Moroccan international will be free to explore options with other clubs starting January 1.
Known for his technical brilliance and creativity, Ziyech is expected to attract interest from several European sides looking to bolster their attacking options.
The next couple of weeks will provide clarity on the next destination of the Moroccan.
