Algerian defender Rayan Aït-Nouri has stressed that he is eager to work and learn from Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola after completing his move to the English Premier League club.
In his first interview after joining City, the full-back said he cannot wait to get started and play in front of the thousands of fans.
“I am also excited about working with and learning from Pep and his coaching team and getting to train and play alongside such a world-class group of players,” Rayan Aït-Nouri said as quoted on the Manchester City website.
The attacker added, “Joining City is also a very proud moment for my family too.
“Now I can’t wait to get started and to play in front of our supporters.”
Manchester City announced the signing of Rayan Ait-Nouri from Wolverhampton Wanderers in an official statement on Monday, June 9.
In the statement, the club said the versatile youngster has signed a five-year contract.
“The 24-year-old left-back has penned a five-year deal at the Etihad Stadium meaning he will remain at the Club until the summer of 2030,” an official club statement from Manchester City said.
Ait-Nouri has established a reputation as one of the most exciting full-backs in the Premier League over the past five years with his productivity in the final third and ability to thwart opposition attacks.
