Ilyas El Khabchi: French-Moroccan midfielder linked with CD Coria move

French-Moroccan attacking midfielder Ilyas El Khabchi has been linked with a move from Yverdon FC II to Spanish side CD Coria.

The proposed switch would see the 28-year-old move from Switzerland’s 2. Liga Inter to CD Coria, who compete in Primera Federacion. No transfer fee or agreement has been reported, and the move remains at the rumour stage.

El Khabchi has recorded 20 appearances, seven goals and 13 assists in the 2. Liga Inter, including 13 assists during 1,679 minutes of action. He has also played in Morocco’s Botola Pro Inwi, where he made 13 appearances and scored once, while registering three assists.

The attacking midfielder joined Yverdon FC II from Moroccan club COD Meknes on 4 September 2025 in a free transfer. Before that move, he spent the 2024-25 season with COD Meknes after joining from Abu Salim.

Born in Villeurbanne on 27 May 1998, El Khabchi has represented both France and Morocco as his listed nationalities. He is predominantly left-footed and has also played for clubs in France, Switzerland and Morocco during his career.

His highest recorded market value was €75,000, reached during his time without a club in 2023-24. El Khabchi’s contract with Yverdon FC II was recorded as running until 30 June 2026.
