Ilyas Ansah transfer: Hull City monitor Union Berlin striker in Premier League link
German-Ghanaian forward Ilyas Ansah is being linked with a move from Union Berlin to Hull City, with the English club named as a potential destination in the Premier League.
Ansah, 21, joined Union from SC Paderborn in July 2025 in a €4m transfer. The centre-forward’s current market value is €12m, although there is no indication of a proposed fee or formal negotiations between the clubs.
The 1.97m striker has started Union’s only DFB-Pokal match of the 2026-27 season, playing the full 90 minutes without scoring or registering an assist.
Ansah developed in Germany and represents the national football structure of both Germany and Ghana. He began his youth career at SC Ludenscheid before spells with VfL Bochum, Eintracht Dortmund, Sportfreunde Siegen and Paderborn.
The potential move would see Ansah leave the Bundesliga for Hull, who are identified as the club linked with him in a transfer involving the Premier League. His arrival at Union followed a productive period at Paderborn, where he progressed from the club’s under-19 team to the senior side before securing the move to Berlin.
Ansah remains a Union Berlin player, and his current contract situation has not been disclosed.
