Iliman Ndiaye poised for Tottenham move after Spurs make Everton breakthrough

Tottenham are closing in on the signing of Everton forward Iliman Ndiaye after reaching an agreement in principle with the Toffees, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

The Senegal international is expected to move to London soon, in what would represent a significant attacking addition for Tottenham. The club have been looking to strengthen their forward options and have identified Ndiaye as one of their key targets during the closing stages of the transfer window.

No transfer fee has been disclosed, but the agreement with Everton has opened the way for the 26-year-old to leave Goodison Park. Ndiaye arrived at Everton with considerable expectations and could now be preparing for another major step in his career after a short spell on Merseyside.

Tottenham have been persuaded by his technical ability, versatility and willingness to remain heavily involved in the final third. Ndiaye’s capacity to operate in several attacking positions is understood to be one of the qualities that appealed to the London club as they assessed their options.

The player remains under contract with Everton until 30 June 2029. That long-term deal gave Everton a strong negotiating position, although the principle of an agreement with Tottenham now points towards Ndiaye’s departure.

Ndiaye has attracted significant interest during the summer. Al Hilal were among the clubs reported to have made an approach for him, with Africafoot previously reporting that interest exclusively.

According to Transfermarkt, Ndiaye’s current market value is estimated at 55m euros. His potential arrival would therefore represent a substantial investment for Tottenham, who appear to have made his recruitment one of their priorities before the transfer window closes.

Ndiaye earns an annual salary of 2,795,582 euros in England, equivalent to 1,817,128,300 CFA francs. Any move to Tottenham would take place against the background of a player whose contract situation and market value have made him one of Everton’s most sought-after assets.

Everton are also due to face Manchester United in the third round of the English league season. The match was listed with odds of 2.20 for a Manchester United victory, 3.30 for a draw and 2.80 for an Everton win by betting company 1xBet.

The immediate focus for Tottenham, however, is on completing the proposed move for Ndiaye. The agreement in principle still leaves the transfer to be finalised, but the reported understanding between the clubs means the Senegal forward is now expected to continue his career in north London.
