Ilias Latiris leaves Hilal Bergheim for new challenge with C. Oidtweiler

Moroccan-German midfielder Ilias Latiris has joined C. Oidtweiler from Hilal Bergheim on a free transfer, completing his latest move in Germany’s regional football system.

Latiris, 29, switches clubs after spending the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons with Hilal Bergheim. He returns to C. Oidtweiler, where he will continue his career as a midfielder after establishing himself across several clubs in the region.

The move was completed on 5 August 2026, with no transfer fee involved. Latiris’s departure brings an end to his second spell with Hilal Bergheim, having previously represented the club between January 2020 and the summer of 2023.

He first joined Hilal Bergheim from VfL Vichttal in January 2020, before moving to SC Julich 1910 in July 2023. After one season with SC Julich, he returned to Hilal Bergheim in July 2024. Both of those moves were also completed without a transfer fee.

Latiris has previously played for VfL Vichttal, Col. Donnerberg, FC Inde Hahn and Hertha Walheim, following his progression from youth football with Hertha Walheim Under-19 and SV Rott Under-19. His career has therefore remained centred on clubs in Germany, where he has continued to move between senior and youth-level sides.

His competitive record includes 10 appearances in the Mittelrheinliga, nine matches in LL Mittelrhein 2 and one appearance in the Mittelrheinpokal. He scored once in LL Mittelrhein 2 and accumulated 502 minutes in the Mittelrheinliga, 636 minutes in LL Mittelrhein 2 and 75 minutes in the cup competition.

The 1.80m midfielder holds Moroccan and German nationality. His switch to C. Oidtweiler is the latest in a series of free transfers during a career that has included repeated moves between clubs in the German regional game.

Latiris has now completed his free transfer from Hilal Bergheim to C. Oidtweiler.
