Ilias Abouallal Ziani: CD Lagun Onak sign attacking midfielder on free transfer from Vasconia U19

CD Lagun Onak have signed attacking midfielder Ilias Abouallal Ziani from Vasconia U19 on a free transfer. The 19-year-old has agreed a deal running until 30 June 2027 with the Spanish club.

Abouallal Ziani, who can operate in the No.10 role, moves after a season with Vasconias under-19 side. He previously came through the youth ranks at Real Sociedad, progressing from their youth setup to Real Sociedad U19 before switching to Vasconia U19 in July 2025.

Born in Zumarraga on 5 March 2007, Abouallal Ziani holds both Moroccan and Spanish nationality. His move to Lagun Onak gives him a first opportunity in senior football after developing entirely within the Basque youth system.

The midfielders arrival continues a period of change in his early career, with successive summer moves over the last two seasons as he has advanced through age-group levels. At Lagun Onak, he will now work under a longer-term contract for the first time, with his deal covering the 2026-27 campaign.

Abouallal Ziani officially joined Lagun Onak on 8 July 2026, completing his free transfer from Vasconia U19.
