Ihab El-Komy, a member of the board of the Egyptian Football Association, has responded to speculations that Zed is managing Egyptian football, particularly after the appointment of Alaa Nabil as the technical director of the Football Association.
In a telephone interview with Hani Hathout on the “Al-Match” program on Sada El-Balad channel, El-Komy stated that the claims suggesting Zed’s control over Egyptian football are entirely unfounded.
He emphasized that any individual capable of benefiting Egyptian football, even if they are from the youth of Qena, will be sought by the Football Association.
El-Komy clarified that the Brazilian Rogerio Micale, the head coach of the Olympic team, has significant expertise.
However, his focus is on the Olympics in Paris 2024.
El-Komy concluded his remarks by stating, “Hazem Emam loves Egypt, but tonight he removed the tie alone.
The decision to contract with Vitoria was a unanimous one from the board.
I urge everyone to treat Hazem Emam with kindness as he is currently dealing with health issues, in addition to his profound grief.”
