The incident took place in Trieste, where the Senegalese forward was reportedly stopped while driving an Audi.

According to local outlet Messaggero Veneto, officers examining his documents concluded the license was forged. Gueye has been formally charged with using a false document, and the authorities have confiscated his car as part of the ongoing investigation. With his vehicle taken away, the player is said to have needed help to make his way back to Udine.
