Malian midfielder Ibrahima Sissoko, who recently announced his impending departure from Racing Club de Strasbourg after six years of dedicated service, is now the subject of keen interest from multiple European clubs. Reports suggest that emissaries from Olympiakos Piraeus and AS Roma have approached the player in recent days, signaling a potential transfer saga in the upcoming summer window.

While negotiations have already commenced between Olympiakos and Sissoko’s representatives, AS Roma has also entered the fray, indicating a competitive pursuit for the talented midfielder’s signature.

Despite being poised to join his future club as a free agent, Sissoko commands a market value of €5 million (approximately 3.2 billion FCFA), according to Transfermarkt

. His contract with Strasbourg expires on July 1, 2024, marking the beginning of his availability in the transfer market.

Sissoko’s impressive performances this season have undoubtedly enhanced his allure across Europe. With three assists in 31 appearances across all competitions for Strasbourg, the 24-year-old midfielder has captured the attention of clubs beyond France’s borders.

Premier League sides Leicester City, Crystal Palace, Wolverhampton, Newcastle United, and Leeds United have been closely monitoring his progress for several months.

Similarly, German outfits Borussia Mönchengladbach and SC Freiburg are among those tracking Sissoko’s career trajectory with keen interest.

As speculation mounts over his future destination, Sissoko finds himself at the center of a transfer tug-of-war, with clubs vying for his services ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

With Olympiakos and AS Roma emerging as leading contenders in the race for his signature, the Malian midfielder’s next move promises to be a pivotal moment in his burgeoning career on the European stage.
