France defender Ibrahima Konate came off at halftime on Thursday when France played against Croatia in the Uefa Nations League.
The Liverpool defender of Malian descent started for the French national team in the first leg of their tie against Croatia in the Uefa Nations League quarter-finals.
Unfortunately, the 25-year-old could not last the entire duration of the pulsating encounter.
He suffered a potential injury in the first half and was replaced by Bayern Munich defender Dayot Upamecano at halftime.
France went on to lose the game 2-0 to Croatia at the end of the 90 minutes.
Ibrahima Konate is expected to undergo some tests to ascertain the extent of his injury.
Should he be ruled out of action, it will come as a big blow for Liverpool particularly as the defender has been a key man in the team’s challenge for the English Premier League title in the ongoing 2024/25 football season.
