Ibrahima Fall: Centre-back linked with Tikves move in North Macedonia

Ibrahima Fall has completed a permanent move from French side SC Toulon to North Macedonian club Tikves Kavadarci on a free transfer, with his contract at the Prva liga outfit running from 2026-02-09 to 2028-06-30. The Senegalese centre-back leaves the French fourth tier for top-flight football in North Macedonia, stepping into a new league and country at just 21 years of age.

The deal sees Tikves acquire a left-footed central defender without paying a transfer fee, despite Fall having previously carried a registered market value that had fluctuated during his time in Europe and most recently stood at zero in mid-2025. The move closes his short spell at Toulon, who compete in National 2 – Group C, and places him directly into a club playing in the Prva liga, the highest level of Macedonian football.

Fall’s career path has been notably itinerant for a player of his age. Born in Saint-Louis, Senegal, and standing 1.86m tall, he first moved to Europe from Haayo des Agnam in his home country to join AC Sparta Prague B in the Czech Republic. From there he experienced both reserve-team football and a loan spell at FK Loko Prague, before returning to Sparta Prague B and later heading to France with Toulon. Each step has kept him within competitive senior environments, shifting from Senegalese football to the Czech system, then into the French lower leagues, and now to North Macedonia.

His transfer to Tikves marks a continuation of his career abroad rather than a return to Senegal, underlining a trajectory that has kept him outside his home league since his initial move to Europe. The switch also represents a competitive jump from National 2 in France to a first-division league, offering him the opportunity to test himself against higher-profile opposition in a top-flight setting.

Market value records show that Fall was once rated at €75,000 during his loan at FK Loko Prague, before that figure declined over subsequent updates at Sparta Prague B and eventually fell to zero by June 2025. The nature of this latest free transfer aligns with that valuation trend, allowing Tikves to take a low-risk gamble on a young defender whose profile still includes experience across multiple European systems and the versatility of a naturally left-footed centre-back.

Tikves will expect Fall’s physical profile and defensive background to add depth to their back line as they navigate the demands of the Prva liga. For the player, the move offers a clear pathway to regular top-flight football, a fresh platform to rebuild his market value, and a chance to strengthen his reputation in a new country and league over the duration of his contract from 2026-02-09 to 2028-06-30.
