Ibrahim Yahaya: Nigeria winger joins Kano Pillars from Barau FC

Nigeria winger Ibrahim Yahaya has joined Kano Pillars from Barau FC, becoming the NPFL side’s latest attacking recruit ahead of the new campaign.

The 22-year-old left winger has completed his move within the Nigerian Professional Football League after catching the eye at Barau FC, and will now continue his career with one of the country’s most established clubs. The transfer was finalised on 27 July 2026, with Yahaya officially listed as a Kano Pillars player shortly afterwards.

Primarily operating on the left of the attack but favouring his right foot, Yahaya offers Pillars a different profile in wide areas. His arrival adds depth and competition in forward positions as the Kano club reshape their squad for the season ahead.

Born on 20 August 2003, Yahaya remains in the early stages of his senior career but already holds a market valuation of around €125,000. His performances for Barau FC in the NPFL had made him a player to watch domestically, prompting interest from within the league and ultimately a move to Kano.

Yahaya has been registered with Kano Pillars since 27 July 2026 and will now look to establish himself in the first team following his switch from Barau FC.
