Ibrahim Souissi: Tunisian forward at US Monastir linked with move to Al-Mesaimeer in Qatari second tier

Tunisia striker Ibrahim Souissi of US Monastir is being linked with a move to Qatari Second Division side Al-Mesaimeer as the 21-year-old attracts interest from outside Ligue 1.

Al-Mesaimeer are exploring a deal for the centre-forward, who has established himself in Monastirs first-team squad and is under contract with the Tunisian club until 30 June 2028. Any agreement is therefore expected to require a transfer fee rather than a free move, with Souissi currently valued at around 50,000.

Souissi, a right-footed centre-forward who wears the No 18 shirt at Monastir, joined the club from Etoile Sportive du Sahel on a free transfer in July 2025 and has since broken into the senior side. He has made 26 league appearances this season, scoring three goals and providing two assists in Ligue 1.

The forward was part of the Etoile du Sahel squad that won the Tunisian championship in the 2022-23 campaign, a title that helped raise his profile before his switch to Monastir. His experience in domestic competition and on the continental stage, including limited minutes in the CAF Champions League, has added to his appeal for overseas suitors.

Monastir are under no immediate pressure to sell given the length of Souissis contract, and any progress is expected to depend on Al-Mesaimeers willingness to meet the Tunisian clubs valuation of the player. For now, Souissi remains tied to Monastir on a long-term deal running through to 2028.
