Ibrahim Salah: Royal Antwerp linked with Basel winger

Moroccan-Belgian winger Ibrahim Salah is the subject of reported interest from Royal Antwerp, with the 24-year-old currently contracted to Basel until June 2029.

Salah joined the Swiss club from French side Stade Rennais in September 2025 in a transfer valued at €2m. His current estimated market value is €1.8m, while Antwerp are understood to be considering a move for the left-sided attacker.

The 24-year-old has yet to make an appearance for Basel in the 2026-27 Super League campaign, having not featured in the club’s opening match. He previously spent part of the 2024-25 season on loan at Stade Brestois before returning to Rennes.

Born in Saint-Josse-ten-Noode, Belgium, Salah has represented Morocco and was part of the country’s Under-23 side that won the Africa Cup of Nations in 2023. He began his senior career with KAA Gent after progressing through youth football in Belgium.

Salah’s contract means Basel are not under immediate pressure to sell, and any potential move to Royal Antwerp would represent a return to Belgium for the player. He remains registered with Basel, with the reported interest yet to result in a confirmed transfer.
