Ibrahim Mbaye wants PSG exit amid Premier League interest
Ibrahim Mbaye is reportedly ready to leave Paris Saint-Germain in search of regular first-team football, despite the club’s belief in his long-term potential.
Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna claims the 18-year-old winger wants a move abroad, even though those close to him would prefer he continue his development in Paris.
Aston Villa and Tottenham are among the Premier League clubs monitoring his situation closely, with several other foreign sides also on alert as the saga gathers pace. Mbaye’s desire to play more is rooted in a rapid rise that began when Luis Enrique invited him to pre-season with the senior squad on 14 July 2024 after being impressed by his displays at youth level.
He made his first start for PSG on 7 August 2024 in a 2-2 friendly against Sturm Graz, scoring the club’s opening goal of the season inside nine minutes from a Marco Asensio assist.
His official Ligue 1 debut followed on 16 August in a 4-1 win at Le Havre, where, at 16 years, 6 months and 23 days, he became the youngest player ever to start a league game for PSG. Mbaye then signed his first professional contract on 7 February 2025, a three-year deal running until 2027, but now appears ready to test himself elsewhere.
