Ibrahim Maza draws interest from Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United

Ibrahim Maza’s rapid development at Bayer Leverkusen has attracted attention from several of Europe’s leading clubs, with Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United among the Premier League sides monitoring the 20-year-old Algeria international.

The attacking midfielder has become increasingly influential for the German club, and his performances are now being closely followed beyond the Bundesliga. Atletico de Madrid are also tracking his progress in Spain, according to Fussball-News.

Manchester City were previously reported to be interested in Maza, in an exclusive report by Africafoot published a few months ago. Fussball-News says Manchester City and Atletico de Madrid have since made contact with the player’s representatives to keep updated on his situation and development.

Bayer Leverkusen set high asking price

Leverkusen are under no immediate pressure to sell. Maza’s contract with the club runs until 30 June 2030, leaving the Bundesliga side in a strong negotiating position.

The club are not currently expected to consider a departure for their young midfielder. Should a transfer be discussed, however, it would require a substantial fee.

Fussball-News reports that Bayer Leverkusen would only be prepared to examine an offer worth between 65 and 70 million euros. That valuation could deter some of Maza’s potential suitors, despite the continued interest from Manchester City and Atletico de Madrid.

Maza is valued at 45 million euros by Transfermarkt, meaning Leverkusen’s reported asking price is significantly higher than his current market valuation.

Leverkusen prepare for RB Leipzig fixture

Bayer Leverkusen are due to face RB Leipzig in the fourth matchday of the German league shortly.

The betting company 1xbet lists Bayer Leverkusen as favourites for the match, with a price of 1.90 for a home win. A draw is priced at 4.00, while an RB Leipzig victory is listed at 3.20.
