Abdelilah El Brahimi, the former spokesperson for Raja Club Athletic, has hinted at his possible retirement from sports management following the team’s recent double championship win.
El Brahimi, who has been suspended by the Ethics Committee due to a dispute with AS FAR player Zakaria El Habbati, spoke about the immense pressure he has faced.
In a press statement, El Brahimi said, “I have endured tremendous pressure through this two-year suspension, which is a very harsh penalty, and also through the rumors that followed me throughout the season.
I might step down as a manager at Raja to relieve myself of this pressure, but I will remain a member and a fan of Raja Club Athletic.”
Clearly affected, El Brahimi added, “I have endured more than I can bear.
I was hoping for a reduction of the penalty, as has been the case for many other managers, but in the end, I respect the decisions of the institutions.
Winning the double championship is the best compensation for what I describe as a harsh suspension.”
