Ibrahim Hassan confirms Egypt’s schedule for September international break

Egypt national team director Ibrahim Hassan has announced the Pharaohs’ programme for the next international break, including Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Angola and South Sudan.

The international window runs from 21 September to 6 October.

Egypt will begin their qualifying campaign against Angola in Cairo on 25 September before travelling to face South Sudan four days later. They will then complete the period with a friendly against South Africa.

Hassan confirmed the following schedule:

– 16 September: Egypt’s squad is announced. – 17 September: The training camp begins at the National Teams Centre in 6 October. – 25 September: Egypt face Angola in the first round of Africa Cup of Nations qualifying at Cairo International Stadium, with kick-off at 21:00. – 27 September: Egypt travel to South Sudan on a private aircraft. – 29 September: South Sudan host Egypt in the second qualifying round at 15:00 local time. – 30 September: Egypt return to Cairo. – 4 October: Egypt play South Africa in a friendly at Cairo International Stadium.

Egypt’s first two fixtures of the period will form the opening rounds of their Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign. After the match against Angola, they will travel to South Sudan before returning to Cairo on 30 September.

The Pharaohs will then face South Africa in their final fixture of the international break on 4 October.
