Ibrahim Halilou: Cameroon defender joins NK Bravo from Lyon B

Cameroon centre-back Ibrahim Halilou has joined Slovenian top-flight side NK Bravo from Olympique Lyonnais B. The 21-year-old moves to the Prva Liga club after a year with the French sides reserve team.

Halilou, born in Douala in February 2005, is a right-footed central defender who stands at 1.88m. He links up with Bravo after gaining experience in both French and Belgian football in recent seasons, and will now look to establish himself in a senior first-team environment.

The defender arrived at Lyon B in July 2025 on a free transfer from Belgian outfit RWDM. During his time in Belgium, he featured in the U21 Pro League and Challenger Pro League, making a combined 11 appearances and scoring once at under-21 level, as well as appearing in the countrys promotion play-offs.

Before his move to Europe, Halilou played in Cameroon with Brasseries and Foot Boissons, progressing through the domestic system before earning his first opportunity on the continent. He later featured in Frances National 2 with 13 outings and over 1,000 minutes, adding senior competitive experience ahead of his latest switch.

Halilous move to NK Bravo has been registered for the 2026-27 season, with the transfer completed on 9 July 2026.
