Ibrahim Galal: Egypt striker joins Delta United from Qanah on free transfer

Egypt centre-forward Ibrahim Galal has joined Delta United from Qanah on a free transfer, completing his move on 10 August 2026.

The 34-year-old, who was born in Mallawi, switches clubs after representing Qanah in Egypt’s Premier League. Galal becomes part of Delta United’s squad following the deal, with no transfer fee attached to the move.

Galal’s preferred position is centre-forward and he is right-footed. His arrival gives Delta United an experienced Egyptian attacker for the new phase of his career, while Qanah lose a player who had been part of their senior set-up.

The move was completed on the same day it was registered, with Galal’s new club listed as Delta United. The agreement is a free transfer rather than a loan, meaning the player has changed clubs without a fee being paid to Qanah.

Galal’s nationality and playing role place him among the domestic Egyptian players moving between clubs in the country’s football system. His experience as a 34-year-old striker will now be added to Delta United’s attacking options.

No contract expiry date has been announced for Galal’s time with Delta United. The club change nevertheless marks a fresh chapter for the striker after his spell with Qanah.

Galal has now completed his free transfer from Qanah to Delta United.
