Ibrahim Adel’s bicycle kick earns FC Nordsjælland victory over Silkeborg

Ibrahim Adel scored a spectacular bicycle kick to give FC Nordsjælland a 1-0 win over Silkeborg in the fourth round of the Danish league.

The Egypt international came off the bench at half-time and produced the decisive moment in the 80th minute, securing three points for the home side.

Adel replaced Berthilssen during the interval and made a significant impact after being introduced. With the match still goalless, Peter Ankersen delivered a cross into the area, and Adel met it with an acrobatic overhead finish that gave FC Nordsjælland the lead.

It proved to be the only goal of the game as FC Nordsjælland held on to claim victory against Silkeborg.

FC Nordsjælland’s next fixture will take them into European competition. They are scheduled to face FC St. Gallen 1879 in the first leg of the play-off round for the UEFA Conference League.
