Ibrahim Adel set for UAE switch after stellar rise at Pyramids
Ibrahim Adel is on the verge of completing a move from Egypt’s Pyramids FC to Al Jazira SC in the UAE, marking a major step in the 24-year-old winger’s career.
The Emirati club submitted a $5 million bid that Pyramids quickly accepted, paving the way for Adel to join their attack next season.
According to Kooora, Adel has personally accepted the offer and has begun discussing contract terms. The final paperwork and travel arrangements are expected soon.
Before deciding, Adel weighed up two other proposals—one from Switzerland’s Lugano and another from a French club. However, Al Jazira’s strong financial package ultimately sealed the deal.
Adel has grown into a key figure at Pyramids since joining in 2018 and rising to the first team in the 2018–19 season. Across 169 games, he has scored 48 goals and delivered 23 assists, helping Pyramids win both the Egypt Cup and the CAF Champions League.
Internationally, he’s played 14 times for Egypt’s senior team, scoring twice, and impressed at the 2024 Paris Olympics with three goals.
