Egypt midfielder Ibrahim Adel has joined El Mokawloon from Al Ahly on loan, completing a move that keeps the 20-year-old in the Premier League through 30 June 2027.

Adel, who was born in Cairo, plays as a defensive midfielder and is right-footed. He signed for El Mokawloon on 15 August 2026 after being promoted to Al Ahly’s senior squad at the beginning of July.

The move marks Adel’s first senior transfer away from Al Ahly. He previously played for Al Ahly Under-21 after arriving from the club’s Under-19 side in September 2024.

Before switching clubs, Adel had made five appearances in the Egyptian League Cup during the 2026-27 season, playing 280 minutes. He now joins an El Mokawloon squad competing in the same Premier League competition as his parent club.

The loan agreement is scheduled to run until 30 June 2027, when Adel is due to return to Al Ahly. No permanent transfer fee has been disclosed for the move.

Adel’s transfer was completed on 15 August, with El Mokawloon becoming his third club in senior and youth football after his progression through Al Ahly’s development system. He remains contracted to Al Ahly beyond the temporary move, with the loan arrangement determining his club for the 2026-27 campaign.

The midfielder’s immediate senior experience has come in cup competition, where his five Egyptian League Cup appearances represent his recorded first-team involvement before the switch. His arrival gives El Mokawloon a player who has already been integrated into Al Ahly’s senior setup, while Al Ahly retain his registration ahead of his planned return next summer.

Adel has now formally begun his loan spell at El Mokawloon, with the move confirmed as a temporary transfer from Al Ahly until June 2027.
