Former Liverpool midfielder, Steve McManaman has expressed his desire for Mohamed Salah to stay at the club.
Speaking in an interview, he said he is confident the Egyptian will sign a new deal with the English Premier League club.
“I think so, yes. I don’t know anything, I must admit. I want him to stay, of course I do, and I think it’ll get done. I really do.
“He can carry on then going for more records to break. That’s the most important thing,” Steve McManaman said.
He continued, “That’s what he’s obsessed with – breaking records, winning trophies, winning plaudits and his own individual trophies, whether that’s Ballon d’Ors, Golden Boots, leagues. I think that’s what he wants to do. I hope that’s at Liverpool next season.”
Although there have been reports of ongoing talks between Liverpool and Mohamed Salah, no agreement has been reached.
Some sources have indicated that Salah wants to leave Liverpool at the end of the 2024/25 football season.
