Former France midfielder, Emmanuel Petit beleives Kylian Mbappe has been bewitched.
The former Chelsea and Arsenal legend’s remarks come after the former AS Monaco and PSG forward has failed to glitter in the shirt of Real Madrid.
After 18 matches in all competitions, Mbappe, who was born in Cameroon but led France to the 2018 World Cup in Russia has scored nine goals.
His torrid start was compounded after missing a penalty in their 2-0 defeat against Liverpool in the Champions League at Anfield.
However, Petit speaking to RMC Sport said, “I think he really was marabouted (bewitched). I believe in these things, you don’t believe in them. I say it because I assume it.
“I believe in it, there are quite a few things in which I believe. Westerners don’t believe it, it’s not in their culture, we are very Cartesian. I believe in it.
“When you talk to me about Kylian Mbappé, I always have this coming back to me, I have the impression that if an organ falls from the Moon, there are several billion of us on Earth. Right now, it’s Kylian Mbappé who is taking it,” he added.
