I see a lot of potential in Zambia and want to help them succeed – Nora Hauptle
Nora Hauptle, appointed as the new head coach of Zambia’s Copper Queens, has expressed her confidence in the team’s potential, noting that she sees opportunities for both personal and collective growth in her new role.
Hauptle, who previously coached Ghana’s Black Queens during their 2024 Olympic qualifiers against Zambia, believes the environment in Zambia is one where she can make a significant impact while learning from the culture.
In an interview with a Zambian TV channel, Hauptle shared her excitement about working in a diverse and welcoming environment.
“I want to work in an environment with diverse perspectives, you know, where we have a lot of potential to reach, which I see. But I also want to enter a culture where I feel very warm and welcome.
“We already played here in February with Ghana. I felt very welcome. I felt, you know, like I can deliver something here, but I can also learn from the culture.
“For me, it’s very important that it’s a match—where I can benefit, but also give a lot. So, I was very attracted to Zambia.”
