Lamine Yamal has made it clear that he no longer pays attention to social media comments, choosing to focus on what truly matters his performance and the people who support his growth.
“In the first year, I read them, but right before the Euros, there were talks about whether Nico (Williams) and I were Spanish enough, like Laporta and Le Normand… I decided not to watch and haven’t read anything since then, although sometimes friends tell me something.
“Very often in the press, when people speak well of you, it’s because they support your team, and if they speak badly – it means they’re rooting for the opponents. What really matters is what your coach, the captains, your family, or those who want to see you succeed think about you,” said the Barcelona winger.
At just 17, Yamal continues to prove himself as one of football’s brightest young talents. This season, he has been a key player for Barcelona, featuring in 23 La Liga matches, scoring five goals, and providing eleven assists cementing his place as a rising star.
