I love that: Mario Lemina hails Victor Osimhen’s relentless drive after title triumph

Mario Lemina has singled out Victor Osimhen’s fierce competitiveness as the defining trait behind his remarkable success, declaring his admiration in the wake of Galatasaray’s latest title-winning campaign.

Osimhen once again proved decisive as Galatasaray sealed a fourth straight Turkish Super Lig crown with a 4-2 victory over Antalyaspor, scoring twice in a performance that underlined his enduring influence.

The Nigerian forward has become the focal point of the club’s domestic dominance, delivering consistency and cutting edge at crucial moments.

Since arriving in 2024, Osimhen has compiled an extraordinary return of 59 goals in 74 appearances across all competitions.

His debut season yielded 37 goals and a league and cup double, while this term, despite injury setbacks, he has still produced 22 goals, reinforcing the value of the club’s record €75 million investment.

Lemina, speaking on The 360 Experience with Onan Khosi, did not hold back in his assessment of the striker’s qualities, highlighting a mentality that elevates him above his peers.

“Victor Osimhen is the world’s best striker. He is the most complete striker I’ve seen in my life. I think he’s the best I’ve seen in my life. He’s a special one,” Lemina said.

“We love each other with Osimhen. We always want to win. When someone shouts, it’s a positive thing for the team. I love that. Osimhen is a warrior. His best quality is his competitiveness. He always wants to win.”

The 27-year-old’s form has inevitably drawn sustained interest from Europe’s elite clubs ahead of the summer window, placing his future under intense scrutiny despite Galatasaray’s domestic success.

With the champions set to close their campaign against Kasımpaşa, Osimhen is expected to miss the finale, leaving lingering questions about whether he has already played his final game for the Istanbul giants.
