English-born striker of Ghanaian descent, Eddie Nketiah, is determined to feature more regularly and stay injury-free as he continues his journey with Crystal Palace.
The 25-year-old has faced challenges since making the switch from Arsenal to Palace, with injuries hampering his progress.
However, he has now regained fitness and is making positive strides under manager Oliver Glasner.
So far, Nketiah has made 23 appearances for the Eagles, netting three goals. Speaking to NBC Sports, he shared his ambitions for the season:
“I want to play as many games as possible, contribute as much as I can, and hopefully win something with Crystal Palace — that’s the goal.”
He also emphasized the team’s aspirations, stating, “We want to climb as high as possible in the league and compete strongly in the cup competitions.” Palace are set to face Fulham in the FA Cup quarter-finals on March 29.
On a personal note, Nketiah hopes for an uninterrupted season to build consistency and further develop his game.
“I’d like to have an injury-free year where I can progress, improve my game, and maintain consistency both on and off the pitch,” he added.
The striker will be eager to retain his spot in the starting lineup when Palace take on Fulham in the upcoming FA Cup clash.
