Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has expressed his readiness to play in any position to support the team’s needs.
The Ghana international was stationed at right-back during Arsenal’s 1-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday at the AMEX Stadium.
Partey filled in for the suspended Jurrien Timber, a role he has taken on several times this season due to injuries and suspensions.
After the match, the 30-year-old revealed his commitment to adapting to different roles to assist his team, particularly in defense.
He emphasized his willingness to grow into this new position.
“I’m a professional and I’ll play everywhere to help the team. I’m available to play in any position, I’ll do my best and also give my best all the time,” he told the club website.
“If I can do much better and improve, I can be happy. It’s moments that the team need me and I have to be there and I’m really happy to help the team all the time,” he added.
Looking ahead, Thomas Partey and Arsenal now prepare for their EFL Cup semifinal first leg against Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday evening.
