I am back from injury, I feel good and fit – Noni Madueke
Noni Madueke is convinced he still has a lot more to show in his debut season with Arsenal.
“Definitely not,” he told Sky Sports when asked if he had reached his best level this season, adding that there is still plenty of time left and he expects to keep improving week after week.
“I’m back from injury, I feel good and fit. I’m confident I’ll put in good performances that will help my team in the upcoming matches and until the end of the season,” Madueke said, reflecting a calm but ambitious mindset after shaking off his fitness issues.
Signed from Chelsea in a 52 million pound deal last summer, the winger has already scored three goals in three Champions League matches, showcasing his quality on the European stage even though he has yet to score in domestic competitions.
In the Premier League this season, Madueke has played nine games, underlining that he is gradually earning Mikel Arteta’s trust and building rhythm. With his confidence growing and his body feeling right, the 23-year-old believes the second half of the campaign will see him make an even bigger impact for the Gunners.
