Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah has shared his thoughts on the possibility of winning the Ballon d’Or next year.
While he acknowledges the challenge of claiming football’s most prestigious individual award, Salah maintains unwavering self-belief.
Speaking to TNT Sports, Salah stated, “Best in the world? It’s tricky! People have different preferences. I always see myself as the best and I want to give my best for the team.”
The Liverpool forward emphasised that his primary focus remains on delivering exceptional performances for his club and the Egypt national team, regardless of individual accolades.
In the same interview, Salah also praised Liverpool manager Arne Slot, whose leadership has left a strong impression on the star player. Initially sceptical about Slot’s abilities, Salah admitted he has been pleasantly surprised by the manager’s tactical expertise and attention to detail.
“Before I worked with Arne Slot, I didn’t expect he was this good… then we started working and I’m not surprised at all! He’s great with details, great with small things, doesn’t have ego when he makes a mistake… he’s great on tactics,” Salah said.
