Embattled Football Kenya Federation (FKF) President Hussein Mohammed has moved to assert his leadership and restore confidence in the governing body following a high-level meeting with representatives from all 48 FKF branches.

The meeting, convened on short notice, recorded a few absentees but was largely attended by branch delegates across the country.

Speaking after the engagement, Hussein underscored the need to safeguard the integrity of the Federation, insisting that adherence to rules and due process remains central to his administration.

He also dismissed what he described as an ongoing smear campaign targeting both himself and the FKF, maintaining that the institution remains united under a single leadership structure.

“There is only one Football Kenya Federation with one elected president,” he said, reinforcing his position amid rising internal tensions.

Hussein further noted that all allegations levelled against the leadership will be addressed strictly through established procedures, urging stakeholders to remain calm as the Federation works through its current challenges.

The developments come at a time when FKF is navigating heightened scrutiny and internal disputes, with leadership cohesion and governance reforms remaining key concerns within Kenyan football circles.
