Hussaini Mubarak: Nigerian defender joins BSK Bijelo Brdo on long-term deal
Teenage Nigerian defender Hussaini Mubarak has joined Croatian side BSK Bijelo Brdo, signing a contract until 31 May 2029.
The 19-year-old left-back moves to the Prva NL club from Nasarawa United in Nigerias top flight. The transfer marks Mubaraks first move to European football, with BSK Bijelo Brdo securing him on a long-term agreement following his performances in the Nigerian Premier Football League.
Mubarak, a left-footed defender whose main position is at left-back, has already built up significant senior experience despite his age. He made 59 appearances in the NPFL, contributing three assists and amassing 5,205 minutes of league football, underlining his status as a regular starter for Nasarawa United before the switch.
Born on 20 November 2006, Mubarak arrives in Croatia with a current market value of 75,000. His move gives BSK Bijelo Brdo an additional option on the left side of defence as they prepare for the new Prva NL campaign, adding depth in a position that often demands both defensive solidity and energy up the flank.
The deal, completed on 10 July 2026, ties Mubarak to BSK Bijelo Brdo for three seasons as he begins the next stage of his career in Croatian football.
