Mohamed Diamé Reflects on Move to Hull City and Career Prospects
Senegalese midfielder Mohamed Diamé completed a summer transfer from West Ham United to Hull City, choosing the Tigers over reported interest from Premier League giants Arsenal and Liverpool. Despite the high-profile links, Diamé expressed satisfaction with his decision and optimism about his future at Hull.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Diamé revealed frustrations during his time at West Ham, where he was often deployed out of position. “At West Ham, I was put in different positions. I remember once I had to play centre forward. It wasn’t good for my career,” he said.
The 29-year-old added that his move to Hull was motivated by a desire to play in his preferred role. “I wanted to play for a club at the top of the Premier League. With Hull, I’ll at least be sure to play in my preferred role.”
Diamé’s commitment to the Tigers marks a new chapter as he seeks to re-establish himself in a role that best suits his strengths in midfield.
