Hull City weigh move for Everton midfielder Tim Iroegbunam

English-Nigerian midfielder Tim Iroegbunam has been linked with a move from Everton to Hull City, with the 23-year-old’s future at Goodison Park becoming the subject of transfer speculation.

Iroegbunam is a central midfielder whose contract with Everton runs until 30 June 2027. The proposed move is not confirmed, and no transfer fee has been reported for the rumoured switch.

Everton signed Iroegbunam from Aston Villa on 1 July 2024 in a deal worth €10.7m. His listed market value is currently €18m, placing him among the club’s significant midfield assets as Hull City are linked with a move.

The Birmingham-born player has made 59 Premier League appearances during his career, providing four assists. He has also played 32 matches in the Championship, scoring twice, after gaining experience in the division during his early senior career.

Iroegbunam came through West Bromwich Albion’s academy before moving to Aston Villa’s youth set-up in 2021. He spent the 2022-23 season on loan at Queens Park Rangers, then returned to Villa before completing his permanent move to Everton.

At international level, he was part of England’s European Under-19 Championship-winning team in 2022. He remains contracted to Everton for another season beyond the current campaign, with the Hull City link leaving his position at the Premier League club under scrutiny.
