Hugo Ozee: French-Cape Verdean defender joins AS Saint-Priest on free transfer
French-Cape Verdean centre-back Hugo Ozee has joined AS Saint-Priest from Jura Dolois on a free transfer as the National 1 club strengthens its defensive options.
The 26-year-old, born in Marseille and standing at 1.90m, moves up a division after featuring regularly for Jura Dolois in National 2 Group F. He arrives as a right-footed central defender with consistent experience across France’s lower national tiers and a brief spell in Bulgaria’s top flight.
Ozee had signed for Jura Dolois in September 2024 after a short period without a club, rebuilding his career with solid game time in National 2. Across his stints at Racing CFF, QRM B and Jura Dolois, he has amassed more than 90 league appearances in France’s National 2 and National 3, contributing several goals from the back line.
His career path has taken him through USM Endoume, FU Narbonne and QRM’s B team before a move to Racing CFF in 2023. In February 2024 he left for Bulgarian side Krumovgrad on a free transfer, gaining experience with two appearances in the efbet Liga, before returning to France later that year.
Comfortable at the heart of defence, Ozee has also appeared in the Coupe de France and briefly in National 1, adding to the profile of a player familiar with the demands of French semi-professional football.
Ozee’s move from Jura Dolois to AS Saint-Priest is a permanent switch completed on a free transfer.
