Hugo Ekitike has set his sights high for 2026, making it clear that his main ambition is to lift silverware with Liverpool.
Asked about his goals for the year, the forward said his priority is to “achieve something big with Liverpool, so win a trophy,” underlining how hungry he is to turn strong performances into tangible success.
On a personal level, Ekitike explained that he simply wants to keep building on his current form and earn a place at the World Cup with his national team, describing that prospect as “very special.” He also reflected on the biggest differences he has noticed in the Premier League, pointing to the relentless demands of English football.
Ekitike highlighted the intensity and packed schedule, stressing that players must be at full capacity every game.
“You can’t play a Premier League game and be at 60 per cent of yourself because you’ll get bullied and you’ll do nothing,” he warned, noting the need to be ready both physically and mentally every three days.
Hugo Ekitike has played 21 games, scored ten goals, and assisted two in the Premier League this season.
