Hugo Ekitike reflects on his perfect start at Liverpool

Hugo Ekitike has wasted little time making his mark at Liverpool, and the young striker believes he is only getting started.

The Frenchman, who joined with plenty of promise, has quickly become a key figure in Arne Slot’s squad and is already dreaming of more special nights in Europe.

“To say I knew I perform like this, no. But it is what I expected, I worked for that so I am happy that it works. I just want to keep going and do even more for this team,” Ekitike said when asked about his first weeks at the club.

The striker has already netted five goals and set up another in just eight appearances this season. His sharp movement, confident finishing, and determination have won him instant praise from fans who see him as an exciting addition to Liverpool’s attack.

“Playing in the Champions League more now? Obviously when I played PSG I was young, watching more, so now is my time to be someone who comes into this team to help and reach success in CL. I am very grateful for that and will give 100%,” he added.
