Hossam Hassan tips Omar Marmoush for global stardom
Egypt head coach Hossam Hassan has heaped praise on attacker Omar Marmoush, insisting the Manchester City forward has what it takes to become one of the biggest names in world football.
The national team boss highlighted how Marmoush’s steady rise through major clubs has sharpened his game and mentality season after season.
“The whole world is watching him. From a young age he has constantly gained experience and improved his qualities thanks to his presence at big clubs,” Hassan explained, underlining the player’s rapid evolution. In his view, Marmoush still has a long road ahead but all the tools to reach the very top.
Hassan believes the 26-year-old can eventually sit alongside Mohamed Salah in the conversation about elite Egyptian stars. He points to Marmoush’s blend of speed, technical ability and year‑on‑year development as the foundation for that potential.
“Marmoush is progressing every year and, at some point, he could play in La Liga — he deserves it,” the coach added, suggesting a future move to Spain would be a natural next step for a player whose ceiling, in his eyes, remains extremely high.
